PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recommend a program suited to the preference of a user without depending upon a behavior such as viewing or timer recording of a program. PSOLUTION: A thin client system having a server and a mobile terminal is formed. The server includes:a user preference database holding user preference information indicating the preference of the user for the mobile terminal; a program component database holding program component information for discriminating the contents of a broadcasting program; a recommended program determining section determining a recommended broadcasting program to be recommended to the mobile terminal on the basis of information held in each of the user preference database and the program component database; a schedule reflecting section storing the information related to the recommended broadcasting program in a schedule file referable by the mobile terminal; and a transfer section receiving the recommended broadcasting program and transferring the received recommended program to the communication function of the mobile terminal.
