PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate a position of an own vehicle in a branched road; and to output effective information for controlling the own vehicle in the branched road. PSOLUTION: A computer detects the position of the own vehicle, and detects a branching-off starting point of the branched road when the detected position of the own vehicle is in the vicinity of the designated branched road indicated by branched road information, and detects that the own vehicle has entered from a main road as a branch origin of the designated branched road to the designated branched road, and calculates the position in the branched road on the basis of a traveling distance from the branching-off starting point regarding the position of the own vehicle which has entered the designated branched road, and calculates a remaining distance from the current position in the branched road to the position of a control point indicated by the branched road information, and outputs the current position in the branched road and the remaining distance.
