PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push rod of induction-heating billet heater, which does not occupy a large storing space in a billet heater for good induction heating when many billets of constant length are subjected to induction heating and forging in order. PSOLUTION: The push rod is used for pushing a heating billet out of a heater. It can be split into a plurality of unit rods. The upper stream end of a unit rod A on the tip end side as well as the lower stream end of a unit rod B on a root side, adjoining each other in the unit rod, are provided with a joint which is so configured that as the unit rod B on the root side advances, the slopes of joint brackets formed facing each other in the unit rods A and B slide and move each other to form an open state, and when the unit rod B further advances, the upper stream end of the unit rod A is connected to the lower stream end of the unit rod B on the root side.
