PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable osmotic agent. PSOLUTION: The peritoneal dialysis solution containing a thermally stable osmotic agent, for example, D-glucitol, gluconic acid or an alkylglucoside obtained by reduction, oxidation or glycosylation of icodextrin, respectively, is provided. Consequently, the osmotic agent stable under autoclaving or heat sterilization condition is provided for reduction of the amount of a biocompatible material in the sterilized peritoneal dialysis solution.
