PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tip widening structure of a steel pipe pile capable of stably constructing the steel pipe pile to a deep position of an arbitral depth, and a tip widening method for the steel pipe pile.;SOLUTION: The leading end widening structure of a steel pipe is formed by fitting a tubular body 2 having a cutting edge on the tip end thereof to the outer diameter part of the tip of a steel pipe 2 having a conical or pyramidal pointed solid member 1 provided at the tip end thereof and installing a press-fitting member 6 and a widening member 5 raised at a V-shaped rising angle and provided with a plurality of pawl edges 4 formed radially in downward inclined directions in the steel pipe 2 fitted with the tubular body 2. The tip widening structure extends the pawl edges 4 of the widening member 5 outward of the tubular body 3 in the downward inclined directions by press-fitting the press fitting member 6 to the V-shaped rising angle. A steel pipe having the same diameter and cut in a specified length is repeatedly joined to the top end of the preceding steel pipe of the tip widening structure and driven, and the pawl edges 4, of the widening member 5 are extended at a specified driving depth.
