PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for supporting an exhaust gas purification catalyst which has a simple structure and can be manufactured in a low cost, and which is capable of uniformly and surely supporting a catalyst solution on the surface of a carrier without a residue to be adhered and is capable of efficiently conducting the supporting works of a catalyst on a carrier and to provide a method for supporting a noble metal catalyst solution on an exhaust gas purification catalyst carrier.;SOLUTION: The apparatus for supporting the exhaust gas purification catalyst is provided with a tubular carrier of which both ends are opened, a tube type vessel which stores the tubular carrier and the noble metal catalyst solution inside so that they can be taken out and whose both end walls and the peripheral wall are sealed, and a driving device to rotate and drive the tube type vessel where the tubular carrier and the noble metal catalyst solution have been stored and sealed so that the vessel has been sideways installed removably. The tubular carrier and the catalyst solution are stored and sealed in the tube type vessel, which is only disposed on the driving device as it is to make the catalyst component adsorbed on the carrier with high quality.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
