PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additionally improved discoloration preventive agent for metals which prevents the formation of rust on a metallic surface by adding the agent into washing water after pickling and is capable of preventing the generation of the roll marks generated particularly when wringer rolls are stopped and a discoloration preventive method using the same. ;SOLUTION: The discoloration preventive agent composition for metals prepared by mixing an organic chelate agent consisting of ≥1 kind among organic sulfonic acid, carboxylic acid, oxycarboxylic acid and their salts and specific polyamine. The discoloration preventive liquid prepared by dissolving the composition into water and the discoloration preventive method for metals consisting in bringing the discoloration preventive liquid into contact with the metallic surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
