PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nondestructive survey instrument capable of detecting a position and a shape of a buried object buried in a shallow position, precisely compared with a conventional example, and capable of estimating a material of the buried object impossible to be estimated in the prior art.;SOLUTION: This nondestructive survey instrument of the present invention has a microwave radar part for transmitting a transmission wave to receive a reflected wave thereof, a difference calculation part for subtracting a transmission waveform from a reflection waveform to find a differential waveform, a mutual correlation Hilbert transform part for Hilbert-transforming a crosscorrelation between the differential waveform and the transmission waveform to obtain a model fitness function of an absolute value of a complex reflection coefficient, a boundary model fitness computing part for holding the maximum value of a time difference of the model fitness function and a time difference of the maximum value, for conducting conversion into a prescribed time difference width of boundary model fitness function, a reverse projection image generating part for generating a reverse projection image by a histogram of the boundary model fitness function of a reflected wave, using the boundary model fitness function of the reflected wave in every measured point as a degree of reliability of a consideration point, and a phase detecting part for finding a phase of the transmission wave bringing the maximum value of the histogram in the reverse projection image.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
