PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orifice fluid flow type in-line viscosity sensor which is provided with a structure as a viscosity controller, capable of satisfying conditions, such as earthquake-proof, heatproof, and noise-proof properties, moreover capable of using a cheap sensor.;SOLUTION: The viscosity sensor is provided in the middle of transport tube for transferring viscous fluids with a positive-displacement pump, constituted of a fluid flow-detecting tube equipped with a metering orifice, and flapper-type fluid flow display meter with a transmitter in the same diameter transport tube; and a bypass tube having approximately 1/2 the diameter of the fluid flow-detecting tube, in order to utilize the differential pressure of viscosity resistance loss in the tube generated proportional to the square of the flow speed, which is interposed and fixed in this interval. If the viscosity of fluid, transferred at a constant flow varies, differential pressure due to the variation of fluid friction varying. Due to the effect of the orifice of the fluid flow-detecting tube, the fluid flow between this systems varies; however, by the magnetic transmitter of the fluid flow display meter the variation is transmitted, and the output signal can be utilized as the viscosity variation amount.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
