ADULT T-CELL LEUKEMIA ONSET RISK DETERMINATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method and a kit for determining an adult T-cell leukemia (ATL) onset risk in a human T-lymphotropic virus 1 type carrier (HTLV-1 carrier), convalescence after a marrow transplant in an ATL patient, and the acute transformation of ATL in a smoldering type or chronic type ATL patient, and a treatment policy after the acute transformation in the smoldering or chronic ATL patent.;SOLUTION: CD30 in a sample is measured. According to the measurement value, an ATL onset risk in an HTLV-1 carrier, convalescence after a marrow transplant in the ATL patient, and the acute transformation of ATL in the smoldering type or chronic type ATL patient can be determined. Also, CD30, an interleukin-2 acceptor or lactate dehydrogenase activity in a sample is measured, and a treatment policy when the smoldering type or chronic type ATL patient is subjected to acute transformation can be determined according to the measurement value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
