PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement tracking management by: outputting a document carrying on both sides code images embedded with identification information for document tracking management; and authenticating the output paper document with respect to destructibility prior to destruction.;SOLUTION: A document management system comprises: a document management server 20 for managing electronic documents and paper documents; a printer 30 for outputting sheets carrying images corresponding to electronic documents managed by the document management server; and a document destruction apparatus 50 for destroying paper documents outputted by the printer 30. The printer 30 outputs an ID-embedded document 40 carrying an electronic document image 42 and a first code image 41 both provided on a surface side of the sheet and a second code image 41 provided on a backside of the sheet. The document destruction apparatus 50 inquires of the document management server 20 about the authenticity and destructibility of the ID-embedded document 40 according to information read from the first and second code images 41 on the surface side and backside, and destroys the ID-embedded document 40 if it may be destroyed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
