PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin insert molding tool of a metal sheet member constituted so as not only to facilitate the mounting and draw-out work of a core member but also to prevent the deformation of the metal sheet member.;SOLUTION: An expansion/contraction tool 2 has the shape of a square pillar, which is inserted in a square pipe P made of a metal having a thin-walled closed cross section constituting an upper center 19 made of a metal, as a fundamental shape. A circular tapered penetration hole 21a is formed to the axial center part of the square pillar and this square pillar is equipped with four core members 21, 21, 21 and 21 divided across two diagonal lines of the square pillar and the shaft 22 inserted in the penetration hole 21a to support the core members 21, 21, 21 and 21 in an expanded state.
