PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a linear artificial structure from being printed on a dye receiver.;SOLUTION: A dye transfer area 5 of a dye donor web 1 is sufficiently heated for transferring dye from the dye transfer area 5 to the dye receiver, while edge areas 6 and 7 of the dye donor web facing each other along the dye transfer area 5 are not sufficiently heated for transferring dye from the edge areas 6 and 7 to the dye receiver, so as to make the dye transfer area 5 be easily affected by stretching compare with the edge areas 6 and 7. When the dye transfer area 5 and the edge areas 6 and 7 are affected by a stretching force that tends to stretch the dye transfer area 5 and the edge areas 6 and 7, the edge areas 6 and 7 are stretched practically in the same degree as the dye transfer area 5 by a mechanical means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
