PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate retrieval of XML data according to an XPath expression including a plurality of conditions without increasing an amount of use of memory.;SOLUTION: An XPath expression clustering part 30 clusters condition of the XPath expression including the inputted plurality of conditions for each absolute path and on the basis of the clustered condition, a section index construction part 40 constructs a section index using tree structural data for retrieving the plurality of conditions at high speed in a form that they are included in a node of the XPath expression. The section index constructed by the section index construction part 40 is retrieved by a section index retrieval part 50. Then, by using a retrieval function of the section index retrieval part 50, a plurality of conditions XPath expression filtering processing part 60 outputs filtered XML data at high speed from the inputted XML data according to a designation of the XPath expression.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
