PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a phenol by-product oil and a bisphenol A residue for affording an oily mixture utilizable as a fuel by which a salt in the phenol by-product oil can be removed and the bisphenol A residue can be liquefied.;SOLUTION: The method for treating the phenol by-product oil and bisphenol A residue is characterized as follows. The phenol by-product oil formed as a by-product in a process of producing the phenol and containing the salt is mixed with the bisphenol A residue formed as a by-product in the process of producing the bisphenol A and water to carry out a stirring treatment.
