PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate the curving height of paper by forming a curving state substantially the same as a curving state of the paper when post-processing is carried out, to improve aligning accuracy of a paper in the paper post-processing device, and to carry out the accurate post-processing.;SOLUTION: The curl detecting device comprises guide sections 2a, 2b and a pair of carrying rollers 3a, 3b carrying paper 50 at substantially the same carrying angle as a post-processing angle and in the same carrying direction as the post-processing direction, when the paper 50 discharged from an image forming device is carried to a paper post-processing device carrying that at the post-processing angle which is a predetermined angle and in the post-processing direction which is a predetermined direction to carry out predetermined post-processing: sensors 4a, 4b detecting the carrying angle and a tip end of the paper carried in the carrying direction; and a control unit calculating the curving height of the tip end of the paper 50 according to the detection result of the sensors 4a, 4b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
