PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system or the like allowing one to become a member of an affiliated benefit-awarding system without the issuing of an affiliated card. PSOLUTION: A card company's computer included in a system for the process of becoming a member of an affiliate using an existing card is provided with a database in which a member store's terminal is associated with an affiliate, and a card membership information database. The card company's computer receives sales information from the member store's terminal and determines whether or not sales are zero to identify membership application information. Affiliate information corresponding to the member store's terminal is extracted from an affiliate information database. The affiliate information extracted is stored in the card membership information database as new admitted affiliate information, and admission information is sent to the affiliate's computer.
