PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method for obtaining a silicon steel sheet with a good shape free from an edge wave when a hot rolled steel strip is subjected to cold rolling after box annealing. ;SOLUTION: A silicon steel slab contg., by weight, ≤0.02% C and 0.5 to 3.5% Si is heated at 1,090 to 1,150°C, is thereafter subjected to hot rolling in which rolling finishing temp. is controlled to 850 to 750°C, and the temp. to be dropped from slab heating to the completion of the hot rolling is controlled to 270 to 350°C and is subsequently coiled around a coil, the Vickers hardness of the end parts in the sheet width in this coiled coil is made higher by 30 than the Vickers hardness of the center part in the sheet width, and then, it is subjected to box annealing at 850 to 900°C for 1 to 10 hr and is subsequently subjected to cold rolling.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
