PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface sizing agent for newsprint paper balanced between good sizing effect and rewetting tackiness suppression in offset printing and slight in foaming in its coating as well.;SOLUTION: The surface sizing agent for newsprint paper consists mainly of a water-soluble copolymer(A) composed of 4-75 wt.% of an ethylene-based unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer and 59-25 wt.% of an ethylene-based unsaturated carboxylic ester monomer as constituents.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
