PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correlation detecting apparatus and method, and a receiver.;SOLUTION: The disclosed method includes precesses of: sampling an inputted spread spectrum signal at a predetermined sampling frequency; storing data of a fixed time length sampled in said step of sampling the spread spectrum signal, in a first storage means as unit data; calculating a correlation value between the unit data stored in the first storage means and a spreading code generated by a present unit itself; storing a cumulative value of the correlation value obtained in said step of cumulatively adding the correlation value in a second storage means; and updating the unit data in the first storage means with data newly obtained by sampling the spread spectrum signal, calculating a correlation value using the updated unit data, and adding a resulting correlation value to the cumulative value stored in the second storage means for storage, repeatedly just predetermined times.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
