PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress pressure drop and to enhance cooling efficiency and a quench tempering effect by providing the subject device with guide surfaces inclined to reduce the opening cross-sections of cooling wind passages toward nozzle holes from wind boxes having a pair of the nozzle holes disposed at both surfaces of glass sheets heated up to a bending temperature. ;SOLUTION: Sawtooth-like nozzle blocks 9 are mounted at the front ends of the nozzle chambers 3 which are the flow passages for the cooling wind. The nozzle blocks 9 continuously have teeth 7 atop a square material-like base material 6. The inside surfaces of the nozzle holes 8 are smoothly finished by reaming. The nozzle blocks 9 are sandwiched and held between both side plates 3a of the nozzle chambers 3. Discharge spaces 5 are formed between the chambers 3 to form the passages for the cooling wind from the nozzle holes 8. The cooling wind is spouted like arrows to the glass sheet. Since the cooling wind is guided by the nozzle holes 8 along the inclined guide surfaces in the cooling wind flow passages, the pressure drop at the nozzle holes is reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
