A SYSTEM FOR THE PROTECTION OF GAS TURBINE VANES AND DISC FROM ABRUPT COOLING DURING A SUDDEN SHUTDOWN

The described system for the protection of the turbine vanes and disc from abrupt cooling during a sudden shutdown contains, in addition to a throttle for blocking the air flow, an air-throttle-interacting and preclosure-operating system of partial (up to 25% of basic) fuel supply to the combustion chamber after closure of the check valve, and is accomplished in the form of a bypass line with an auto¬matic valve which is gradually closed by means of a servomotor.
