PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a falling down can detection device capable of certainly carrying out detection of various kinds of falling down cans and automating the detection at a DI washer step.;SOLUTION: In the detection device for a falling down can in a can washer, the can going out from a washing step is placed on a conveyor and is fed to a dryer 3. In the detection device for the falling down can, a plurality of supersonic displacement sensors are arranged above the conveyor at an inspection area positioned at an entrance part of the dryer 3 or at the inside of the dryer 3 or at an exit part of the dryer 3 to detect the falling down can on the conveyor by the supersonic displacement sensor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
