PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain generation of pitting by formation of an oxygen concentration cell in a boiler and a preboiler line while putting emphasis on corrosion prevention in the boiler, and to allow continuous evaluation for water quality in real time.;SOLUTION: This water quality evaluating method is a water quality control method in water piping in an electric power plant, a corrosion current Icorr is calculated pursuant to an expression Icorr=f (O₂.μS)...(1), [where Icorr represents the corrosion current, O₂ represents the dissolved oxygen concentration, and μS represents the acid electric conductivity] by measuring the acid electric conductivity and the dissolved oxygen concentration in supply water to the boiler, and the water evaluation in the boiler and the preboiler line is conducted based on a relation between the corrosion current and a using temperature in the boiler and the preboiler line, in the method, and this water quality control system is a water quality control system using the evaluating method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
