PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel open/close mechanism that facilitates the insertion and extraction of a connector even if the insertion opening of the connector is narrow, and prevents the generation of an unusual sound in a retractable operation panel, and to provide sound equipment employing the same.;SOLUTION: The panel open/close mechanism 11 is structured to enable the operation panel 80 to be opened and closed relative to a body 20 by the rotation of the operation panel 80. The mechanism comprises one side 40a of the connector 40 attached to the body section 20; the other side 40b of the connector 40 attached to the operation panel 80 to fit with the one side 40a of the connector 40; a fixing arm member 70 for rotatably fixing one end side of the operation panel 80; a sliding arm member 50 for rotatably supporting the other end side of the operation panel 80, and enabling frontward sliding; and a push-out mechanism 60 for pushing out the sliding arm member 50 frontward to release the fit between the one and other sides of the connector.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
