PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily prepared new extract for protein synthesis by a cell-free system, and enabling the protein synthesis by the cell-free system by which a glycoprotein can also be synthesized, to be achieved, and to provide a method for preparing the extract, and a method for the protein synthesis by the cell-free system by using the extract.;SOLUTION: The extract for the protein synthesis by the cell-free system contains at least an extract derived from a silkworm tissue, and an extraneous mRNA. The method for protein synthesis by the cell-free system uses the extract. The method for preparing the extract for the protein synthesis by the cell-free system involves adding the extraneous mRNA to the extract derived from the silkworm tissue and extracted from the silkworm tissue by using a liquid for extraction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
