PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for using a low-volatile coal in a blast furnace, in the case of blending pulverized coal to be injected from a blasting tuyere, particularly, using the low-volatile pulverized coal.;SOLUTION: In the case of using the low-volatile coal having ≤20% volatile matter in an operation for injecting the pulverized coal into the blast furnace, the low-volatile coal is injected from the tuyere by being mixed with a high- volatile coal having ≥30% volatile matter in a specific ratio or above, where the mixed ratio α of the high-volatile coal to the low-volatile coal is regulated so that β in the following equation (1) is ≥0.3. β=(V1+αV2)/(F1+αF2)...(1).
