Dewaxing method and its use of investment precision casting mold

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient system for manufacturing an excellent casting by eliminating and recovering a wax model contained in an investment precision casting mold in a short period of time without causing environmental pollution, and by preventing the casting mold from cracking.;SOLUTION: The wax model (tree) contained in the investment precision casting mold is directly heated by the flames of a burner or torch lamp, whereby wax at a sprue, a runner and a product portion is liquefied to flow in turn and collected into a container placed under the casting mold. If the shape of the model is complicated, the casting mold is subsequently immersed in hot water to melt the remaining wax, and the wax rising to the surface of the hot water is collected. The dewaxed casting mold is put into a baking furnace so that the wax is burned and eliminated fully. Then, molten metal is poured into the casting mold taken out of the baking furnace to obtain an excellent cast product.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
