PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating 1, 4-dioxane capable of efficiently decomposing and removing 1, 4-dioxane contained in solid, liquid or gas.;SOLUTION: In a dioxane treatment system 10, waste water containing 1, 4-dioxane is aerated in an aeration tank 12 and the 1, 4-dioxane in the waste water is actively moved into aeration air. The aeration air is brought into contact with water atomized by a scrubber device 16 and the 1, 4-dioxane is actively moved into the atomized water.
