PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial artificial stone having a dense texture, a transparent feeling, deepness and an excellent marble-like color tone by mixing a high-density artificial stone composition comprising an inorganic granule component, an inorganic find granule component and a resin component with a specific amount of an antimicrobial agent. ;SOLUTION: This artificial stone comprises a composition composed of ≥85 wt.% of the total of an inorganic granule component having 10-70 meshes and an inorganic fine granule component having a size smaller than 100 meshes and 15 wt.% of a resin component. The composition comprises 0.5-5.0 wt.% of an antimicrobial agent constituted of an inorganic material such as silver, a silver allay, silver oxide, etc. The inorganic granule component is selected from a natural stone such as silica rock, olivine, feldspar, pyroxene, granite, etc., and materials such as ceramic, glass, metal, etc. A natural or artificial fine component such as calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, etc., may be cited as the fine granule component.
