PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality photosensitive layered printing plate for letter press print which does not contaminate a developer and can suppress increase in the cost by exchanging developer, and to provide a method for manufacturing a letter press printing plate using the original plate of the photosensitive layered printing for letter press print.;SOLUTION: The original plate of photosensitive layered printing for letter press print comprises at least the following layers successively layered on a supporting body: a photosensitive resin layer having photosensitivity to UV rays and developable with water or the mixture of water and alcohol; and a mask material layer that contains at least a non-UV absorbing organic dye and a UV absorbing organic dye, and a binder soluble or dispersible with water or a mixture of water and alcohol, and that can be removed by the water or the mixture of water and alcohol. The non-UV absorbing organic substance and the UV absorbing substance are compositions having compatibility with the binder.
