PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image forming apparatus, an image processing method, and an image processing program which can suppress the storage capacity and perform color correction processing according to the kind of an image, and to provide a record medium the program recorded thereon. PSOLUTION: An input correcting unit 6 is provided with an input color correcting unit 24 for correcting the strength of a signal of color components in image data of an inputted image using a matrix factor, a matrix factor storage unit 26 for storing a plurality of matrix factors according to the kinds of images, and a control unit 25 for reading out a matrix factor according to the kind of the inputted image out of matrix factors stored in the matrix factor storage unit 26 and setting the matrix factor in the input color correcting unit 24.
