PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a lubricating film capable of exerting a sufficient durability.;SOLUTION: The method for forming the lubricating film comprises a step of applying a lubricant 21 having an OH group to the surface of a substrate 10 and exposing the lubricant 21 to an infrared laser beam capable of exciting vibration of an OH bond of the OH group. The infrared laser beam irradiation induces excitation of the vibration of the OH bond of the OH group in the lubricant and results in increased reactivity between the OH group in the lubricant and the substrate surface. This facilitates chemical bonding of the lubricant to the substrate surface and increases the durability of the lubricant.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
