PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively produce a harmful material removing member having an excellent harmful material removing performance and purifying performance and suitable for natural environment protection without degradation over a long period of time. ;SOLUTION: This harmful material removing member has a surface layer consisting of an inorg. hardened body, an aggregate having 0.1-10mm average grain size and a photocatalyst on a base body, and a thickness of the surface layer is 1-20mm and slaked lime or an adhesive material may be incorporated. And in its production, after casting a kneaded matter for the base body consisting of an inorg. curable binder, the kneaded matter for the surface layer obtained by kneading the inorg. curable binder, the photocatalyst and the aggregate having 0.1-10mm average grain size and at least one kind of the slaked lime or the adhesive material is casted, then formed and aged.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
