PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which decides the torque angle of an orthodontic bracket considering a shape of each tooth and a closing mechanism of respective dentition.;SOLUTION: An angle between the axis orbital plane and a bracket surface is determined in order to determine the torque angle required for the orthodontic bracket of the malposition of a tooth. A guiding straight line or a guiding plane is decided for each tooth. The anatomy of a tooth on the front side is measured. The torque angle of the bracket to use is calculated considering a predetermined crossing angle between the guiding straight line or the guiding plane and the axis orbital plane.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
