PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating voice quality enabled by a VoIP packet and to provide a voice quality adjustment apparatus for adjusting factors influencing the voice quality in response to an evaluation result by the voice quality evaluation method.;SOLUTION: In the voice quality adjustment apparatus in an IP network system provided with a plurality of VoIP gateway apparatuses carrying out packet transfer in an IP network and relaying the transmission of a voice signal in an existing public network, an evaluation means immediately evaluates the quality of a speech voice on the basis of information with respect to the VoIP packet arrived in the VoIP gateway apparatus via the IP network as to each of busy channels through a transmission path via the IP network, and the adjustment means adjusts the processing wherein the VoIP gateway apparatus being a sender of the VoIP packet carries out transmission to the IP network, respectively, corresponding to each of the busy channels on the basis of the evaluation result.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
