PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search an optimal wireless channel at an optimal timing, and to switch a wireless channel from one to another quickly without causing an adverse effect to communications.;SOLUTION: RF units 104 and 105 are equipped with a communication means and a station selecting means. At start, one of the RF units 104 and 105 serves to communicate with a terminal device, and the other serves to search an optimal radio communication channel under the control of a control unit 106. The optimal radio communication channel is searched by the searching RF unit based on the judgement result of the level of receiving signals related to two or more available radio communication channels and the existence of wireless LAN signals.
