PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact-treated material used as a component of an addition polymerization catalyst excellent in polymerization activity, an addition polymerization catalyst component consisting of the contact-treated material, an addition polymerization catalyst by using the addition polymerization catalyst component, and a method for producing an addition polymer by using the addition polymerization catalyst.;SOLUTION: The contact-treated material is obtained by bringing components (a) M1L; (b) R1s-1T1H; (c) R2t-2T2H2; and (d) a surfactant [M1 is a metal atom of the 3rd to 12th, 14th or 15th group, or of lanthanide series; (r) is a valence of M1; L1 is H, a halogen atom, a hydrocarbon group or an oxyhydrocarbon group; T1, T2 are each independently a non-metal atom of the 15th or 16th group; (s) is a valence of T1; (t) is a valence of T2; R1 is a group having an electron-withdrawing group or an electron-withdrawing group; and R2 is a hydrocarbon group] into contact with each other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
