PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an IT-assisted electronic book distribution system for distributing electronic books over a network without abolition of conventional bookstores. PSOLUTION: A subscriber device 100 transmits contract data to a bookstore device 200, including book data showing the electronic book to subscribe, subscriber device data specifying the subscriber device 100, and payment data including the method of payment. The bookstore device 200 collects the price of the electronic book shown by the book data by the method shown by the payment data, and transmits the book data and the subscriber device data to a publisher device 300 out of the contract data. The publisher device 300 distributes the electronic book shown by the book data received from the bookstore device 200 to the subscriber device 100 specified by the subscriber device data received from the bookstore device 100.
