PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for extracting the ink of a live squid, by which only the ink can be extracted from the ink bag of the live squid without killing the squid, without needing a large amount of seawater on the extraction of the ink from the ink bag of the live squid and without causing a problem also in the subsequent treatment, to provide a method for preserving the ink-extracted live squid, and to provide a method for transporting the same. PSOLUTION: This method for extracting the ink of the live squid is characterized by injecting salt water 4 and air 6 into the ink bag 2 of the squid 1 to dilute the ink 5 with the salt water 4 and simultaneously moderate a negative pressure in the ink bag 2 with the air 6, and then sucking and extracting the ink 5.
