COMPACT WATER DISINFECTION UNIT SERVED IN HOSPITAL DEPENDENCES. A compact wastewater disinfection unit in a hospital facility comprises at least one mechanical treatment plant (2) and one chemical disinfection station (3). It should also have a mechanical pretreatment station (4) where solid materials present in wastewater are ground while wet. The mechanical treatment station (2) comprises an apparatus (21) for separating and dehydrating solid waste present in wastewater, and the chemical disinfection station (3) comprises a disinfection tank (31) with a mixer (32) and at least one disinfectant feed reservoir (33) as well as resources (34) for dispensing the disinfectant located between the reservoir (33) and the disinfection tank (31).
