MERGE PROTEINS BASED ON RAGE, THEIR COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF THEIR APPLICATION

RAGE-based fusion proteins comprising RAGE polypeptide sequences attached to a second polypeptide other than RAGE are described. In a RAGE-based fusion protein, a RAGE polypeptide domain including a RAGE ligand binding site and an interdomain linker directly attached to the N-terminus of the C2 immunoglobulin domain can be used. RAGE-based fusion protein compositions and the use of RAGE-based fusion proteins and RAGE-based fusion protein compositions as therapeutic agents for RAGE-mediated pathology are also described.
