A NOVEL ROVING MACHINE FOR PRODUCING QUALITY ROVING

摘要

A novel roving machine for producing quality roving where in machine is modular in structure. It consists of 4 modules which are. a drafting modules for converting the sliver(thick strand of fibre) in to thin strand of fibres (roving). b. module for the strand of fibre being twisted and wound on to a Package (bobbin). c. the mechanism for winding of roving on to the bobbin and do the corresponding speed variation. d. the mechanism for package building, the said mechanism consists of a feed arrangement for slivers and 4 sets of top and bottom rollers rotating in gradually increasing speeds to attenuate the fiber. The speeds of the bottom rollers are changeable by a simple gearing arrangement. The pre calculated change gears for the required drafting are provided to enable this change. The existing drafting systems known in the art is used in the machine.
