The internet advertising techniques of pay-per-reach and pay-per-action are described where only relevant ads are displayed to specific set of target users, thereby maximizing the reach of advertisements. The target users are identified by matching the users' profiles and preferences with the advertisers' requirements. The user's preferences include travel, food, clothes, dining, entertainment etc., while the user's profile includes age, gender, location etc. Thus, the invention seeks to increase the probability of the reach of ads to the intended users as well as to enhance the returns on advertisement spending. Apart from these, the system also facilitates the user to provide feedback to the advertiser on the advertisement itself, or on the advertiser's merchandise.
