A pour point depressant composition comprises polymerised ester. The polymerised ester consists of (a) methacrylic acid and (b) alcohol blend. The alcohol blend is selected from the group of alcohols consisting of (i)at least one alcohol selected from C10 linear alcohol in the range of 0-15%, (ii)atleast one alcohol selected from C12-C14 linear alcohols with 1% hydrocarbon in the range of 40-70% of the total mass of blend, (iii) at least one alcohol selected from C12-C14 linear alcohol with 6% hydrocarbon in the range of 30-60% of the total mass of the blend and (iv)atleast one alcohol selected from C16-C18 linear alcohol in the range of 3-20% of the total mass of blend and the process for preparation of the same.
