ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a method of insulating and isolating the connecting rails between an electrolysis workshop and a repair workshop. The method is a method of insulating and isolating the connecting rails between the electrolysis workshop and the electrolytic cell repair workshop to prevent gantry transport cart rails from metallically connecting an insulating operating plane in the electrolysis workshop with a grounding zero electric potential and ambient environment. This technology falls into the technical field of electrolysis workshop insulation treatment. According to the claimed method, an insulating and isolating segment is provided on the connecting rails between the electrolysis workshop and the electrolytic cell repair workshop, wherein the insulating and isolating segment is disposed at an exit of the electrolysis workshop and in the form of breaks provided on the rails, the distance between the breaks is slightly greater than a front-rear wheelbase of the gantry transport cart to ensure that the gantry transport cart body will not connect steel rails outside the breaks. The present invention effectively solves the problem of isolation of an insulating region of an operating plane of the electrolysis workshop from the electrolysis cell repair workshop, thereby overcoming the difficulty in realization of insulative mounting of the whole rails.
