EXPRESSION SYSTEM COMPRISING MOUSE ß-ACTIN PROMOTER

摘要

As the results of a comparison and discussion on the activities of promoters prepared by combining various gene promoters and enhancers, it is found out that a hybrid promoter comprising a combination of CMV enhancer with a mammalian β-actin promoter or a combination of the posttranscriptional regulatory element of the genomic sequence of Woodchuck Hepatitis Virus (WPRE) with a mammalian β-actin promoter is superior in potency to the existing promoters. It is also found out that the activity of this β-actin promoter is enhanced by the simultaneous expression of an oncogene product Ras which is a transactivator.
