The invention relates to method for increasing the productivity of steel production, in particular for reducing delivery times, whilst increasing the steel quality, controlling the quality atc, by using two-vessel-and thin-slab-technology, on the basis of pig iron (1), and iron sponge (2) in electric are furnace and oxygen-blowing method(21) and procedures, after continuous casting, in a thin slab plant warm band in a finalizing mill train, in that pig iron(1) and iron sponge (2) are charged in a relationship of 90:10, 50:50 up to 100:1 with a scrap metal part as cooling agent and/or an iron sponge part at 70% pig iron, and in that the times for the melting sequence are reduced by way of a freely selectable maximum achievable oxgen quantity per time unit in that at least one oxgen blowing lance the oxgen density is increased specifically up to 2-4Nm3/t minute and the blowing time is reduced to about 12-16 minutes
