The profile has sealing ribs (4a-4c) assembled against a plate-shaped part (2) i.e. glass, and a coupling rib (5) included in a recess (6) of a finishing element (7). One of the sealing ribs that extends transverse to the length of the profile between the finishing element and the plate-shaped part is clamped. An independent claim is also included for a profile assembly.
