The method involves manufacturing a number of floating road sections (3), where each road section includes two essentially parallel sides and two essentially transverse oriented surfaces, and linking the road sections floating in the water. End surfaces of consecutive road sections are linked together to form a ring road (2). An independent claim is also included for a floating road section.
